Sailing-YachtIsle Of Bute Sailing Club endeavours to welcome, and support, anyone who likes to participate in the fun of sailing.
During the season, sailing takes place on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
Weather permitting the races start at 7.00 pm on a Wednesday, and 2.00 pm on a Sunday. However, on some occasions racing may be replaced by training sessions suitable for all abilities.
The Club also organises social events that includes opening and closing musters, a club picnic and dinner with prizegiving, and barbeques, the bar is also open to all during club hours.

For over 15 years the Isle of Bute sailing Club has organised the prestigious Round Bute Race which is open to all classes of sailing vessel. Run on a handicapped basis, the Round Bute Race allows any size of boat to compete over a course of over 45 nautical miles.
The race is preceded by a reception at the clubhouse on the Friday evening at 7.00 pm and finishes with a presentation ceremony with trophies for all classes.
The fastest boat overall, based on adjusted time, is awarded the Round Bute Trophy cast in solid silver which was donated by Lord Bute himself.
